Not All Dishwasher Detergents Are Created Equal
Automatic Dishwashers rely on alkaline detergents to neutralise and remove food soils to achieve the cleaning results required.
Alkalinity alone is not sufficient by itself to achieve excellent detergent performance and longevity. The quality of the water also plays an important role in efficient dishwasher performance.
In many areas of Australia the water quality has a high concentration of hardness ions.
Which results in Calcium carbonate precipitation within the dishwasher,otherwise known as Hard Water Scale, a visible white salt.
A well formulated Dishwasher Detergent should be able to control and prevent this “Scale” build up.
Prevention of scale means the wash arms spin freely, components work as intended and the dishwasher remains sparkling clean thus optimising the Dishwasher Performance.
